1 In the context of an attempt to avoid an order for contempt of court, the Privy Council in Isaacs v Robertson [1985] AC 97 noted that judges have ‘cautiously refrained from seeking to lay down a comprehensive definition of defects’ that would allow a court order to be set aside.
