QR CODE
A QR code, or Quick Response Code, is a type of two-dimensional bar code, familiar to most consumers as a black and white square formed of smaller black and white squares. A QR code can hold more information than a one-dimensional Universal Product Code (UPC) bar code, and can be scanned with a cell phone or other mobile device to convey this information in user-readable form to the device. This information may take the form of a Uniform Resource Locator, allowing the user to open a Web page on his or her phone by scanning the QR code. This makes QR codes useful in advertising; in effect a QR code becomes a real-world hyperlink.
